A Troy man faces charges after first crashing his car, then tossing a baggie of heroin under a cruiser, according to police.
A Troy man fell asleep behind the wheel on the Northway and crashed into a guardrail just south of Exit 23 in Lake George, crashing into the guardrail. The State Police say when they got there the man tossed a small bag from his pocket under the Trooper’s car and tried to kick it further under the car. The bag contained nine bundles of heroin, police said.
Lance Harper, 21, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd Degree) and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was arraigned in the Town of Lake George Court and sent to the Warren County Jail for lack of $50,000 cash or $100,000 secure bond.
Dark Windows Leads to Felony Drug Charge
A man was pulled over for an illegal window tinting on the Thruway in the Town of Bethlehem and was busted for cocaine and marijuana, according to the State Police.
Police say that Friday, Yakeem Jordan, 44, of Schenectady, was driving his green Acura Legend when he was pulled over. Authorities say he had a suspended permit and they found approximately 227 grams (1/2 lb.) of marijuana in the car and while searching him found an additional 30.4 grams of cocaine.
Jordan is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd Degree, B-Felony), Criminal Possession of a Narcotic with Intent to Sell (B-Felony) and Criminal Possession of Marijuana (3rd Degree, E-Felony). He was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and sent to the Albany County Jail on $15,000 bail.
