Bruno Appearing at SAFE Act Rally

Former Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno, who was just acquitted in federal court and didn’t say much while in the spotlight during the case, will headline a rally tonight for those opposed to the SAFE Act.

Bruno will welcome candidates who are opposed to the SAFE Act at a rally tonight at the Brunswick Fire Hall at 6:30 p.m. The Republican candidate for Lt. Governor, Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss and Congressman Chris Gibson will also be at the rally. Bruno is a longtime Brunswick Sportsmen’s Club member.

Also scheduled: Republican candidate Jim Fischer (20th Congressional Dist.), State Sen. Kathy Marchione (43rd Dist.), Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin (107th), Assemblyman John Mcdonald (108th), Republican Candidate Carl Gottstein (108th), Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple and Rensselaer County Sheriff Jack Mahar.

There are official challenges to the strict gun laws from 22 Attorneys General and 52 of 62 New York Counties and 321 municipalities. It’s filed in U.S. in District Court in western District of New York. Those AG’s include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming.
