Scrap Yard Arrest

Scrap Yard Arrest

While off-duty, a State Police Investigator said he saw a man “acting suspiciously” near a scrap yard near Route 40 and Robert Road in the town of Schaghticoke.  So he called it in and a Trooper from the Brunswick barracks arrived to make the arrest.
James Lefebvre, 34, of Stillwater, is charged with two counts of Criminal Trespass (3rd Degree), Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (5th Degree).

Despite a sign of “No Trespassing,” police say Lefebvre was stealing scrap metal plus they found  a car stereo which had been reported stolen the day before from a vehicle parked at Kneers Towing in Brunswick.

Lefebvre was arraigned before the Town of Schagticoke justice and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail with bail set at $500 cash.
