After complaints of all kinds of people coming and going, and police watching the house, an East Greenbush teenager is facing charges for “a brisk” marijuana selling out of his house, police said.
Calls came in over several weeks from neighbors “who complained about strangers constantly coming and going,” police said in a statement. So they set up surveillance on Sequoia Drive which led to a search on Halloween and they say they found a number of quart-size bags of marijuana, over $4,000 cash and a pair of brass knuckles.
Jacob W. Ruth, 17, is charged with two counts of Criminal Sale Marihuana (4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Marihuana (3rd Degree) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon (4th Degree).
The arrest was made by East Greenbush Police Officer Matthew Wyld and the department had help from Rensselaer City Police. Ruth is scheduled to appear in East Greenbush Town Court November 14.
