Money 'safe' at Wendy's

A former assistant manager of a Wendy’s in Queensbury is charged with stealing from the restaurant.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tricia Kilduff, 34, of Glens Falls and charged her with burglary. Authorities say that back in April, 2012, management at the fast food restaurant found money missing. They determined there was no forced entry to the building, the safe was locked prior to the money being removed and only a few employees had keys to the building and knew the combination to the safe.

Police believe Kilduff went to the restaurant during the early morning hours of April 30 after closing and removed $2,423.00 from the safe. Authorities didn’t have to go far to find her. She was already in the Warren County Correctional Facility on an unrelated charge.

Kilduff was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and sent back to jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.

The investigation was conducted by Investigator Doug David and Patrol Officer Paul Grant.
